デジタルハリネズミとDUBLABは前から縁があって、当然のように、ビデオと音楽で何かやろうという話になった。DUBLABの周辺はアーチストでいつもいっぱいだから、デジタルハリネズミで撮った映像に音楽をつけるというプロジェクトは知らないうちにどんどん広がった。このまま終わらない永遠に続くプロジェクトになりそうなところで、FROSTY（DUBLAB代表）は、このプロジェクトに「LIGHT FROM LOS ANGELES」という名前を与えたもうた。全世界のあらゆる音を飲み込む彼らのスタイルは音楽／映像作品になっても健在だ。この混沌としたパワーは、今の我々にこそ必要なのだ。光は我々に届けられたり！あまりに自由、あまりに音楽的、あまりにハッピーな、DUBLAB流サイケデリックオペラ！諸君、マックス楽しんでくれたまえ！

Digital Harinezumi and Dublab have had connections, and naturally we started to talk about a possibility of a project with videos and music. Around Dublab there are always many artists, and just as expected the project of using digital harinezumi to shoot videos with music accompanied, spread. This project probably will be a never ending project, and Frosty (co-founder of Dublab) has named this project, "LIGHT FROM LOS ANGELES". Their style of consuming various sounds from all over the world is still prominent in their music/ video work. This type of power of mixture is what is needed for us right now. The light has finally reached us! Free spirited, full of music, full of happiness, Dublab's psychedelic opera! Boys and girls, just enjoy this to your full potential.

Light From Los Angelesは、インスピレーションが充満した都市、L.A.から生まれた活気あふれるクリエイティビティのドキュメントであり、これは光輝くウェイヴを生み出すアーティストたちのオーディオ/ビジュアル的スナップショットだ。私たちが招いたお気に入りのLAミュージシャンたちは、それぞれ、オリジナルサウンドを創り、デジタルハリネズミを使用した映像作品を創った。デジタルハリネズミは、L.A.の魔法の光をキャプチャーするパーフェクトなツールだった。完成した映像作品は、見るたびに、組み替え可能な映像体験なのだ。

Light from Los Angelesの音や映像は Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial copyright licenseにより公共アクセスが可能。オープンで非営利的な配布、そして素材の再利用が許可されている。プロジェクトにインスピレーションを受けたなら、是非、素材を再構築して、斬新で、クールな作品を創りだして欲しい。私たちのゴールは、この場所から、親密でアーティスチックな影響を発信していくこと。そして、様々な人にクリエイトしたいという、インスピレーションを与えることだ。The Light from Los Angelesは、最高のクリエイティブコミュニティーの光放つ反射のようだ。

LIGHT FROM LOS ANGELES: sights and sounds of golden creativity

Light From Los Angeles is a document of vibrant creativity from an inspiring city. It is an audio/visual snapshot of artists making bright waves. We have invited our favorite LA musicians to each contribute an original song with an accompanying film shot exclusively on Digital Harinezumi cameras. These compact devices perfectly capture the magic light of Los Angeles. The resulting music videos are a modular film experience that can be reshuffled for each viewing.

The Light from Los Angeles songs and films are available to the public under a Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial copyright license, allowing for open, not-for-profit distribution and repurposing of the material. Those inspired by the project can remix the material into amazing, new forms. Our goal is to share intimate artistic impressions from our city and in the process inspire others to create. Light from Los Angeles is a glowing reflection of golden creativity

These audio/visual works from LA, full of fun and free spirit, are now free from copyright restrictions thanks to the Creative Commons License. All of the images are open ended.

Through mutual sharing of their rich potential and subsequent remixing, they evolve organically like some creature. The Creative Commons License, the copyright system of the digital age, enables the formation of an inspirational creation chain. By making copyright more flexible, it simplifies sharing and remixing and enhances creativity.
